The first thing I noticed when I took the hospital / kennel tour was the thought and planning that went into designing this veterinary pet care center.
To start with the dog and cat boarding section is separate from the hospital treatment area. This is a great idea and should go along way to enhancing the comfort of both boarding gusts and patients. The hospital treatment area is also designed for efficiency, in a natural progression from exam to surgery.
One of the really extra cool things I got to see during the open house was Arroyo's ultrasound. The Dr. showed us a cats kidney, uterus, intestines, and aorta. The cat was great about the whole thing. It just kicked back and enjoyed the attention. I have a feeling all animals aren't quite so cooperative.
I was also pleased to see in each exam room a really cool and very small computer.
When I went out to see the exercise yard for the dog boarding guest I was quite *surprised* to see such a large exercise/ play yard.
A lot of kennels I have seen have small exercise areas,
but Arroyos is bigger than many back yards.
